Elizabeth Hampton, Clinic Owner

Elizabeth Hampton PT, WCS, BCIA-PMDB

Elizabeth Hampton is a physical therapist in practice since 1987, specializing in pelvic ring dysfunction and movement re-education. Since 2006, Mrs. Hampton has been faculty for the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute, providing continuing education courses in women's health physical therapy to health care providers across the United States. Elizabeth is a graduate of Marquette University's program in physical therapy. She has earned specialized certifications in Women's Health Physical Therapy (TWU), childbirth & doula education, Polestar Pilates Rehabilitation, as well as Pelvic Muscle Dysfunction Biofeedback through the Biofeedback Certification Institute of America (BCIA). She is currently working through the level III curriculum through the North American Institute of Manual Therapy (NAIOMT). Elizabeth is a published author in the field of pelvic ring & elimination disorders. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, the Section on Women's Health & Orthopedics as well as the Washington State Physical Therapy Association. She is also a Board Certified Women’s Health Clinical Specialist through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties.

Elizabeth is married & loves gardening, hiking & watching her 2 kids grow & thrive.

 

Sandy Hayner, Physical Therapist

Sandy Hayner, PT

Sandy Hayner is a physical therapist in practice since 1987, specializing in orthopedic manual therapy. She is a graduate of Mayo School of Health Sciences' Program in Physical Therapy. She is currently working through the level III advanced curriculum for both spine & extremity manual therapy through the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy (NAIOMT). She has a special interest in working with back pain in pregnancy & has taught the class "Baby Your Back", which focuses on anatomy, posture, body mechanics, & positions of comfort & exercise for pregnant women. Sandy also specializes in osteoporosis & contributed to the development of an osteoporosis education & exercise program at Northwest Hospital in Seattle. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, the section on Orthopedics, & the Washington State Physical Therapy Association. Sandy is married, & has a son. She enjoys trail running, hiking, camping, & cycling with her family.

Sandy also specializes in osteoporosis & contributed to the development of an osteoporosis education & exercise program at Northwest Hospital in Seattle.

 

Tawny Bridge-Pope, Physical Therapist

Tawny Bridge-Pope, MPT

Tawny Bridge-Pope earned her Master of Physical Therapy degree from Eastern Washington University in 2000. She is a certified Pilates instructor and completed her training with Elizabeth Larkam through Pilates and Beyond in 2004. She recently completed additional training in pilates-evolved techniques for osteoporosis through TheraPilates®. In 2002, Tawny earned her certification as a Level I Gyrotonic® trainer. She enjoys integrating her extensive training in movement re-education with manual therapy techniques. Tawny is currently working her way through NAIOMT level II training and has completed additional training in acupressure, kinesiotaping techniques and craniosacral therapy. She enjoys instructing specialty classes including Core Connection and Core Connection for the Equestrian. Tawny is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and Washington State Physical Therapy Association. She is married and has many 4-legged children. Tawny loves being outdoors and likes to spend time horseback riding, mountain biking, running, hiking and snowshoeing.

 

Wren McLaughlin, Physical Therapist

Wren McLaughlin, PT, DPT, MS

Wren McLaughlin earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Duke University. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Human Movement and Performance from Western Washington University. During her time at Duke, Wren was one of five students nationally to be awarded the Mary McMillan Student Scholarship for her potential to contribute to the physical therapy profession in the areas of leadership and service. She has completed manual therapy training with senior faculty from Maitland Australian Physiotherapy Seminars. Wren has also completed training in the treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction with Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute and is working toward certification as Women’s Health Clinical Specialist through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. Wren is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Section on Women’s Health as well as the Washington State Physical Therapy Association. She is an Albert Schweitzer Fellow for Life, dedicated to community service both locally and globally. She spent a year volunteering as a teacher in Nepal and recently completed a 3-month PT clinical affiliation at a hospital in Bergen, Norway. She is a Bellingham native and while keen on travel, she is passionate about cycling and hiking in the magnificent Pacific Northwest.

 

Juliana Bohn, Physical Therapist Juliana Bohn, PT, CMPT

Juliana Bohn PT, CMPT has been accepted into the NAIOMT Manual Therapy Fellowship Program in Seattle. Her colleagues and clients at Core Physical Therapy wish her the very best in this remarkable achievement! Bohn starts the program in June 2010 and will be employed by Olympic Physical Therapy.

Lesley has enjoyed working in the medical field for the past several years and is a Bellingham native. She enjoys raising her 5 children in the beautiful Northwest and considers hiking, fishing, stone skipping and walking in the woods with her best friend Boomer as a blessed opportunity.

Stephanie Torres, Office Manager

Stephanie moved to Bellingham from Kansas & now considers herself a true "Hamster". She is the unsung hero of Core Therapeutics PT, providing exceptional & compassionate care to our clients, our staff & the community. Stephanie has extensive experience in the healthcare industry & a genuine passion for health and nutrition. She is an extraordinary cook and specializes in locally grown cuisine & gluten-free cooking. In her spare time, Stephanie enjoys yoga, hiking, mountain biking, cooking, & spending time with her wonderful husband, Trevor and dog/child Spier.

 

 

 

Suzan Blake

Suzan Blake, Credentialing / Records Management

Suzan has called Whatcom County home all of her life and she has worked in the medical field for 17 years. She considers it a privilege to have been part of the Core PT team for 5 of those years. Her husband and two beautiful children keep her very busy with baseball, soccer and 4-H. Suzan loves to garden, read, walk in the country and spend time with family and friends.

 

 

 

 

Kinsey Jackson, Licensed Massage Practitioner

Kinsey Jackson, LMP

Kinsey Jackson graduated from Brenneke School of Massage in 2001, and has since been a practicing massage therapist in the Bellingham area. She graduated with honors from Western Washington University with a Bachelor of Science in Biopsychology in 2006. Kinsey also serves as the Director of Marketing for Bodylight Books, the publishing company of Campbell's book. Kinsey holds certifications in Reiki, Lymphatic Detoxification, and Pilates instruction. Kinsey has worked extensively with medical professionals in various fields such as acupuncture, chiropractic, massage, physical therapy, naturopathy, and mental health. She is certified in medical insurance billing and runs a small billing business from her home. She also works at Core PT in the office facilitating billing and patient relations. Kinsey's massage work focuses on sacroiliac, lower back, and cervical rehabilitation as well as Somatic Experiencing. She employs a variety of modalities in her practice including Swedish, Deep Tissue, Lomi-Lomi, Trager, CranioSacral, positional release, and energy work. Additionally, Kinsey is a very active member in the Bellingham community, volunteering for local non-profit organizations. She is an aspiring singer and talented flutist, pianist, and percussionist. Her interests include hiking, cross country skiing, ping pong, and her weiner dog Pele.
